Mr Darcys are offering for sale, this 1980 BMW 635 CSI.
This lovely 6 series was featured in Classic and Sportscar as a perfect example of how a conversion should be done. Finished in bronze with full Alpina upgrades which include trim, gauges (all functioning) seats, wheels decals, spoilers, steering wheel, gear knob, and so authentic, that we spent some time researching to ensure it was indeed not an original Alpina. To the true BMW enthusiasts out there, you will know that the 635 Alpina was produced in limited numbers between 1982 and 1984, but this particular model is a 1980 which is reflected in the price difference of circa €100k. The current owner purchased the car in 2009, and imported to Ireland in 2011. It has been in his ownership since, and has been cared for, with any works required being completed. An original German car which includes its original plates as can be seen on our website, it truly is a lovely example.
The dog leg gearbox is smooth, and the engine is very sweet, as it should be with such low mileage. Everything is working as it should, and the paintwork is excellent, but for a few blemishes which would be expected from a car of 43 years of age. We have included a selection from the photo shoot which was conducted in 2009. There is a host of paperwork with the car, as well as all instruction manuals and the Alpine sound system. The photo shoot pictures are on CD, and will come with the car. There is also a large selection of authentic new spare parts in the boot which are also included. Being a LHD car, it is ideal as an indulgence to have at your summer residence in Europe, but will also appeal to the LHD market. It is priced to be sold, and will not hang around for long.
Viewing is strictly by appointment, and we are open Monday to Saturday. If you require any more information, please email or call us up to 8pm in the evenings Monday to Saturday.
